Why I Write About Drug Rehabilitation

If you read my early posts you are aware that I was addicted to drugs and that I had a hard time quitting. I achieved the worth while goal of a drug-free life after 18 years of addiction and even if this addiction set me back on my goals in life I do not regret a bit this accomplishment--it is worth every bit of blood, sweat and tears.

This is the main reason why I write about drugs, addiction and rehabilitation; however this is not the only reason. I am father to a teenager, which is doing very good in school and is very independent, active and happy. He and his friends are all good kids and are very much aware about drugs and life; they and all kids in America and the world are the reason why I like to write about drugs and addiction. I don't want them to waste their lives away--I've seen it all. And besides, kids are the future and drug education should be part of every family and every school.

After much trial and error I found the Narconon Program, which saved my life. This is the reason why I like to write now, which was lost before, but now that I'm free of drugs I feel more creative and I can help others better. Even if I am very busy during the week I try to write at least once a week because it is worth it even if just one person is saved from drugs--I owe them that much.

Drug rehabilitation or rehab for short is more than just a detox, one has to conquer the cravings and learn new ways to resolve the problems left behind by the use of drugs and the addiction. That is what I learned from them and you will too if you give it a chance, you won't regret it.
