Research on Drugs and Human Behavior

It has been long known that drugs have an effect on the brain, mind and body. Ancient peoples knew that taking certain plants produced effects of different kinds and they classified these as medicinal, ritual or spiritual. History has many examples in which these substances--drugs--where used to kill or make your enemies crazy. It was usually their medicine man, woman, priest, shaman, etc. who was in charge of the use of these drugs or medicines. He or she was the equivalent of our modern doctors.

In some sense very little has changed since; ancient and modern doctors still don't understand human behavior and all the phenomena they observe. Ancient doctors prescribed some plants for things they "knew" and practiced spiritual rituals for those things they did not understand or believed to be spiritual. Likewise modern doctors prescribe medicine for things they "understand" and sometimes prescribe psychotropic drugs for those things they do not understand.

In the past it was the job of the psychiatrist to prescribe psychotropic drugs but not any more; today regular doctors are prescribing psychotropic drugs (antidepressants, antipsychotics, etc.) at an increasing alarming rate.

Today psychotropic drugs generate more than 10 billion dollars annually. Is it possible that drugging every individual is the ultimate goal of psychiatrists and the Big Pharma industry? After all this business is becoming extremely profitable; executives, employees, salesmen, lobbyists, investors, doctors and psychiatrists involved want more money not less, right? And where are they going to find new clients? The obvious answer is CHILDREN. They can be diagnosed with any of the invented labels and be put on chemical straightjackets without protest.

The children popping all those psychotropic drugs, the manufacturers pushing it for profit, the officials placing their stump of approval on it, for a fee, the medical community taking their comfortable ride along--and their piece of the pie. Who is to blame, them for wanting to make a quick buck, or the rest of us for allowing this drug craziness to last?

It is time to start opening our eyes to what is happening and realizing that all this world craziness is not evolutionary or coincidental, it is something we purposely or unsuspectedly are doing even if by not doing something about it.

This drugging trend started in the 1920’s with the new psychiatric theories of Wundt. Wundt was the father of experimental psychology. His first contribution was the re-definition of psychology, which at the time meant simply the study (ology) of the soul (psyche), or mind, a philosophical subject. Now, he declared, psychology is a physiological (body) thing.

"Basically, everything previously considered to be a fundamental part of Man, the spirit, mind, soul, feelings, will, intention, hopes, and ideas, came to be ignored and explained solely as a response to external stimuli and physiology." In other words man is a thing, electrical impulses, etc., which has predominated in the field to this day. "Since man has no soul it is okay to experiment on him, to torture, electroshock, lobotomize or drug and observe its effects, just like a chemistry set," is the new attitude.

This mindset is what has brought today’s social problems of decadence, proliferation of drugs, illiteracy, dishonesty, corruption, perversion, prostitution, etc., including war and slavery. The funny thing is that most of us are unaware of and are unwitting participants and even contributors in a sinister plan—everything is going according to a master plan explained in a text called Brainwashing: A Textbook in Psychopolitics.

Once you read that manual you will know why drugs are being pushed at all levels, what do drugs have to do with the mind and human behavior and why things are going the way they are going around the world.

Good reading and let's do something about it!
